Robert Saleh, Head Coach of the Titans, addressed the media during a press conference on October 12, 2026, following a challenging game where the team struggled offensively. He discussed the team's performance, injury evaluations, and ongoing communication with players regarding their needs and expectations.

Transcript

Unknown: Hey, good morning, everybody. With regards to Kevin Winston and Cordell Flott, we're still getting some evaluations done on them to assess the length of their injuries.

Reporter: Robert, I'll start off, I guess, you know, aside from that first drive yesterday, after that you had four punts, a couple of turnovers, turnovers on downs, you know, looking at the film, aside from the turnovers, what were the biggest things holding your back yesterday? Why couldn't it get going?

Saleh: You know, it was a multitude of things, obviously, we couldn't get the run game going. We knew that the, you know, Houston's got a really good run game, but we felt like we could grind out three, four yard runs, and we just didn't give ourselves an opportunity to do that with poor third down execution. You know, there are a few plays to be had that we just couldn't make, and despite all the stuff that happened, you know, veterans once a week, once every other week, I'm constantly in communication with all the veterans across the roster in all three phases and we're always talking about the locker room and what they need from me, what I need from them and so there's a whole lot of conversations that are constantly happening.

Reporter: We always hear offensively you want to establish an identity, how frustrating is it that this group can't really do that, if you say there's an identity, there really isn't anything you could say this team has offensively as that?

Saleh: You know, like I said, I wish I could say that to you but I know that everybody, players, coaches and everybody's working relentlessly to get ourselves in a groove and in the offense from OTAs to training camp until now has kind of evolved into a different form which isn't always a recipe for success but I do think that, like I said, I do think we had been making progress in putting ourselves in position to grow, unfortunately yesterday.
