Smith-Njigba: Good to see you guys what a game all glory to God it's great to be here with a new season new team energy was great shout out to the 12 what an incredible great game I think a testament to our team just having each other's back offense special teams defense never wavering understanding that it's a four-quarter game and that's why I love this team so much and I'm super proud of them.
Smith-Njigba: Yes tough it's tough losing 14 I mean he's that the head of the snake but we have each other's backs like I said you know we fully trust in drew lock to come in and do his thing done it time and time again so we just have to have each other's back like I'm saying and and like I said I'm just super proud of everybody.
Smith-Njigba: Yeah I was happy it was a pass play and they thought it was a run I believe they sent the blitz my job was to find the zone and drew did a great job finding me and then after that just do what I do just you know try to get upfield protect the ball and and great great upfield blocking by our tight ends that's something that we we preach heavily each week we call it eat and it showed up to life.
Smith-Njigba: Very confident drew the ball player I mean you know he he comes in and demands the huddle and and he wants to sling throw the ball around so like I said full confidence in two.
Smith-Njigba: Oh man I mean that's something I was praying to see on the sideline and it came to it came to fruition and man they had our backs you know right there we can always count on our defense best defense in the league just hard-nosed and I'm super happy for Joe to excited it I was happy to see him go attack the ball and keep his feet in look like a receiver out there.
Smith-Njigba: Yeah that's that's on us that's on the players that's on the offense you know I'll take accountability for that you know we have to be better we have to be better no offense or buts no excuses but first game we'll grow from this and we'll get we'll watch the film and learn where we can get better and that's how the great teams become great.
Smith-Njigba: Oh man huge belief like I going into game I know our defense is going to give us the ball and give us opportunities and that's the best feeling you know to be for me and the offense just just having that belief that you know defense has our back special teams and go out there and do their job it's not all on me we have Cooper cut making big plays we have she making big plays the young rookie was toeing the rock tonight and you know it's a team effort and and that's what gives me the calmness and and the spirit to just go out there and just do I do.
Smith-Njigba: Oh man I'm going against the defense you know all the camp it was hell especially going against Josh Job and his press technique and his just his awareness of the game and the position that he plays on the other side he got spoon near my picture had a hell of a game today coming up with a big-time pick leading to a score so you know going against them just just makes our offense just and and me a ton better and so I'm happy those guys are our Seahawks for sure.
Smith-Njigba: Jax I don't know where you were on the sideline but the hit Julian had to start the second half on Hunter like what that do for the sideline.
Smith-Njigba: Oh electric electric I mean we want to feed the crowd big plays and and we want the crowd on our side we have the best fans in the world so we have to use them and whenever you know you get a chance to pump up the crowd and make a big play and let the other team know it's a benefit for us.
Smith-Njigba: I apologize if you were asked this but fourth and one that's a situation where a lot of times you guys go to the Adrian Barnard push push would you think of the decision to put the ball on Drew's hands there.
Smith-Njigba: Like I said I love I love throwing the ball on fourth and short and third and short there's a lot of space out there and I think Jude like I said did an incredible job just finding me and making the right play.
Smith-Njigba: Message at halftime was man this we knew coming in and it's gonna be a four-quarter game and that's and that's a that's that's who we are like we're gonna fight like we know we know it's gonna be a dogfight and we love it and whatever it looks like in the first half second quarter like we're gonna make it right we're gonna keep fighting until you know the clock hits triple zero so so I was just happy to see that and to see that continue going forward this year.
Smith-Njigba: Like I said I mean we don't waver we don't run from adversity that's just not the guys that we are that's not who this team is we love it we make it right we just fight play after play after play like this is a dogfight and and we know that and you know we were a group of guys that keep our heads down and then look up like I said when it's triple zeros on the clock and and it's been good for us.
Smith-Njigba: He's a playmaker he's a playmaker he loves he loves to be out there and ball out you know you can you can just see it on him and it's affectionate affectionate whatever on the team and s--- like that and you can feel it and it's exciting you know to see him ball out and throw it around and demand a huddle.
Smith-Njigba: Yeah he ran tough man he's he ran tough and super proud of him I thought it was a great first game that first run had a lot of juice in it and he's just gonna keep building I'm excited to see you know how far he grows throughout the season.
Smith-Njigba: Jackson's long season the two the two best teams in the league may be in your division again how much difference to watch tomorrow night's game with W pulling the side of the fire than it would have been the other way.
Smith-Njigba: One more time sorry how important to get this win we can watch two teams tomorrow.
Smith-Njigba: Oh yeah I mean these these days off is always better with a win and sit back relax you know get to watch watch Sunday Sunday football the game on tomorrow I love I'm a NFL fan so I love to watch ball and see you know where other teams are at so we'll take advantage of these days off and get better.
