Kupp: Yeah, I mean, he did a phenomenal job. He basically took no reps with any of the guys that were out there all week. And you can see the owner, so he puts on himself to be ready though when the time comes. And there's extra time that he spends out there on the field, extra time he spends with the coaches to make sure, you know, it's the last thing he wants for Sam to have to not be there. But, man, Drew's done an unbelievable job preparing. He did a great job for us today.
Kupp: Yeah, he did an unbelievable job. A lot of them, not how he probably thought the first game calling was going to go. But, yeah, he did a great job. And even, I mean, you lose Sam, but we all thought, I think, offensively, just as players, we shot ourselves in the foot way too much. A lot of stuff that we just got to clean up. But he did a great job just being consistent there. Great to me. I even saw him smile a little bit on the sidelines, so that's a big deal.
Kupp: Well, we actually ended up canning protection play. You know, we got a play call come in with a motion, and then a, you know, Drew was able to, in that short amount of time, get the play changed to what we needed to, get the protection changed so the back's now moving, I'm moving. And that's where things, you know, you have a bunch of people moving, trying to get things lined up, and just we're up against the clock there.
Kupp: Yeah, well, I think there's something to be said in the NFL about expectation that you have for yourself. And, you know, I think you can get into games through whatever your experience has been in football, and you get into that last, you know, the last four minutes there, and you either have this expectation that you're going to find a way to win or you have the expectation that something's going to go wrong and you're going to find a way to lose. And we've got a lot of guys on this team, I would say, you know, just so everyone on this team is, if not everyone, has the expectation that we're going to find a way to win the game. And that goes a long way, and there's power behind that. And, you know, it's honestly why in this league you've seen teams that just seem like they find a way to lose over and over again. There's other teams that do just find a way to win games. And, you know, that last drive, defense doing a great job trying to, you know, finding a way to come up with a turnover. You know, that's the way everything looks like, everything sounds looking like you're looking at, you know, hopefully going, like having an opportunity over time to be able to win it. But Joe Blue's other is a great job and wins it for us there. So it speaks a lot to, you know, like you said, you talked about the work that went into it, but I think there's also, because of the work that's gone into it, there's an expectation about what these outcomes are going to be.
Kupp: Yeah, I mean, they played lights out for us. You know, I think the first half we weren't able to gain much doing offensively. We were just kind of out of our rhythm. We had some long third downs. The third downs that we, you know, should have, you know, converted honors, miscommunications, things like that just weren't good. Not good enough. But in the second half, I thought the complementary football is really what came alive, right? You saw, you know, Dicco does an unbelievable job pinning the Patriots back. Defense does a great job holding them there. We get great field position then, you know, offensively. And it's just all those things going to, you know, creating points, giving us opportunities to get into the plays that we want to to be able to attack guys offensively. And, yeah, it was just, there's some great examples of complementary football. And then we talk about that all the time.
Kupp: Yeah, well, I mean, I wasn't sure exactly what was going on. You know, coach came up and just said, hey, Drew's going for us. And, you know, and then it's like, okay, well, let's find ways to make plays for him, find a way to bring things alive. And, you know, in the moment, I mean, you're hurting for Sam, obviously. But in the moment, you've got to find ways to move forward and figure out how you're going to go out there and win a football game.
