Schwesinger: Yes.
Schwesinger: I mean, a couple of days, but I played football my whole life, so hopefully I can get back to speed pretty quickly when I get back.
Unknown: I got a question.
Unknown: Other than the Pirates of the Caribbean.
Unknown: Cars.
Unknown: What is your favorite movie?
Schwesinger: Cars.
Unknown: You know they have it in movie theaters right now?
Schwesinger: Yes. I went saw it already.
Schwesinger: I mean, I think it just shows that the previous year doesn't matter. So I think that's just kind of what it shows in the NFL is each year is a new year and really go out there and make the most of it and everything like that.
Unknown: Carson, last year you were a rookie making your first start. You had a lot of rookies this year to young team make their first start. What can you tell them about what to expect and what was your experience like? Did it hit you in the first step or when did it hit you?
Schwesinger: I mean, my advice and what people told me is at the end of the day it's football which you've been playing your whole life and don't make it any more than that, I think. Prepare so that you're ready to go in and play how you want to play and other than that go have fun.
Unknown: It's what you dream though.
Unknown: How much energy has Quincy brought?
Schwesinger: A lot of energy. I mean, you can tell. A whole lot of energy on the field, off the field, in the room. I think that's one thing you can count on every day is you're going to get energy for Quincy.
Unknown: How much is Jared also?
Schwesinger: A lot of energy as well. Now, I'm not always in the same meeting room but same thing. Sometimes you can hear him from the other side of the walls or when you're walking by the meeting room and same thing on the field. A whole lot of energy and really gets the defense going and I think it's just going to carry over when we start playing games.
Unknown: What is your talent wise, what can you bring to this defense?
Schwesinger: Talent wise, I mean, he can do everything we wanted to. Push the pass or stop the run and when you have somebody who can do that, it changes the game and that's exactly what's going to happen when we start playing games.
Unknown: What have you learned at Trevor Lawrence?
Schwesinger: You could run the ball off to get the throw. So how do you defend a guy that is capable of running like he does?
Schwesinger: Well, I think with a guy like that obviously you don't want to give him lanes to run in and when they have certain plays where it's an option just make sure you everyone's doing their job. If you got the QB, you have the QB and likewise if you got the running back, stay on the running back and I think you do that, you get a handle.
Unknown: What have you learned about Rudy since he's been here and is the guy getting the calls from him, how's that communication and first time play caller?
Schwesinger: Yeah, I mean, learn about Rudy has been great. We spent a lot of time together just getting to know each other, how each other thinks and so that's been really helpful just for when we get into the game, we're going to be on the same page. And in terms of getting the calls from, it's really just a voice in the helmet that's given the calls and so really what's bigger is just us being on the same page and we've been able to do that.
Unknown: Carson, I know coach is doing like a recap of this and all that, but has your role as like a leader changed at all this year from year one to year two?
Schwesinger: I mean, I think just everyone on a good team should be a leader in some aspect, whether it's by how you act or what you say and there's moments when and times for it and I think obviously as I, I mean on defense, when you have to call the huddle and call everything, that's just an aspect of it and I think just continuing to build and grow on that and make sure that everyone's on the same page and we're rolling and doing it in our style is the most important thing.
Unknown: Rudy is another energy guy, how does that, if that all translates to when you guys are communicating over the...?
Schwesinger: I think it's, well, on the headset sometimes you don't want as much energy just because and he's very good at that so there's nothing about that so I mean in terms of translating to the headset, it's a lot of times a lot easier here when it's just even keel. But in terms of just on the field and at practice, I think he brings the energy every day and in the meeting room and you could tell that's who he is, he's the same guy every day with that energy.
Unknown: A couple more. Rudy designs defensive plays like all defensive plays. How do you guys make sure you're in a defense level, confuse the quarterback but not confuse you guys?
Schwesinger: Well, I think at the end of the day, we just have to know what we're doing. Obviously, we have to know our game plan and what our plays are and we have to know our keys and at the end of the day, if we're doing our job, then we're able to play fast and get done what we want to get done.
Unknown: Do you feel there's any effect on missing so many practices in training here?
Schwesinger: No.
Unknown: Last one. What have you seen from Trevor as a passer and how are you guys going to make countries effective this year?
Schwesinger: I think he's a really good player and he's developed over the years and like we talked about, obviously you want to keep him in the pocket. But I mean, other than that, he can get the ball where he wants to and just got to make sure we're in what we want to call against it.
