Jefferson: You know when you come to Soldier Field that it's going to be a crazy dogfight of a game especially with the weather today, no exception.
Jefferson: Yeah, that was kind of the emphasis of today, dealing with the weather conditions and not really being able to throw the ball as much as we wanted to. So it just all starts up front, the whole line just being able to come off the ball and create those lanes and create separation for Aaron, for our other backs to kind of hit the hole and run in and get us those momentum plays. So that was a big time for us. Aaron is a great running back, great player. So we definitely leaned on him during this game to create those sparkling plays and get us down the field plenty of time throughout the game.
Jefferson: Very tough, you know it's hard to catch the ball when it's wet, you know gloves wet, everything is pretty much wet so it's very difficult. Very hard but you can see it on both ends, it was a lot difficult to throw it on both ends on the field.
Jefferson: It's expected, you know it's kind of something that we've been waiting for and you know especially this year and being on the opposite side of Kink and creating that pressure and creating you know just that hurry in the quarterback. Get them off the spot, get them rushing and scrambling, that's definitely something that the key emphasis. I feel like they did a great job containing Caleb today and just you know kind of putting them in bad situations to throw the ball out of bounds. Not really getting his first read off so the defense did a phenomenal job today.
Jefferson: Yeah, I said a little bit earlier, you know it's definitely a shout out to you know Caleb definitely don't want him you know with a serious injury and would love for him to you know continue to be out there and playing at his best ability. But him not being out there on that last possession helped us out a little bit more and to you know having a quarterback that didn't really get too much reps I'm pretty sure throughout the week and didn't get really too much reps today. So for him to you know be out there and with that type of defense it was very difficult for him.
Jefferson: Yeah any means necessary whatever it takes to you know come in here with a dub and you know celebrating with that victory that's all that matters. Don't matter if it feels you know six to three their entire game as long as you know we come out with a dub that's all that matters. And being two and on division is very big for us to start the season so starting off right.
Jefferson: The main important thing is winning at the end of the day. Of course I would love to have 150 three touchdowns and you know just the fantasy the fantasy stat line. I definitely would love that but with these conditions with this type of type of game you know it wasn't that type of day which is totally fine. You know as long as us coming off the ball executing our plays and you know just being a factor in the win that's all that matters. So just coming in here difficult environment with the weather conditions a lot of adversity in our way. It doesn't matter you know we're just not going to really think about it just coming up and just lean on each other to get the dub.
