Evans: Yeah, just being here for the last year and a half, I'd say he just seems more comfortable even from when I first got here to now. He seems more confident in himself and just the way he carries himself. Definitely, he's got more of a presence and you can see that reflected on the field. Even in the locker room and throughout the building, you can see he's more confident, I'd say. I can tell from when I first got here to now.
Evans: It hurt me on whenever the Hall of Fame game was. I couldn't be out there, especially being from Ohio. I never actually got to play in that stadium, but that's because they'd always host states in that stadium. I never got to play there, but just seeing all my boys who we've put in all this work in, and then I kind of go out there and reap the benefits of actually playing. Coming up again in Buffalo, I believe it's going to just be like a new stadium or something. That's going to be cool. Playing, that's going to be fun. I'm really excited to be back on the field like that.
Evans: Yeah, if I'm being honest, I didn't know he was from Ohio until then. I was like, oh, no crap. Yeah, but that's really cool. When I was a joke, obviously, all the guys, wherever they're from high school, whether it's Florida, Georgia, and Cali, we were always like, oh, we got the best high school ball or whatever. Josh back and forth, but being from Ohio is pretty cool to see that kind of level of play come out of there.
Evans: Yeah, I definitely think our group now is confident and striving in the right direction to reach those goals that you're saying. But we're always just also doing the tasks at hand, whatever we're told to do. So whatever job it is, sometimes we're tasked that week with, all right, we know it's going to be a run-heavy game, and we take pride in that. So whatever we're asked to do, whatever we're tasked with, whether that's catching the ball, run blocking, whatever it is, we're always stepping into the occasion and excited to do that. And obviously, we'd strive and like to have those goals and accomplish them. But I think as a room, we tallied great success last year. So yeah, I think whatever it has to do, we're going to excel at it.
Evans: I had a good amount. I probably had 12, 12, 15 people, whether I knew they were going to be there at first and then I saw them after the game. But initially, I knew my neighbors were coming. They always support me. My family, my grandparents came down from Toledo. It was good to see them. And yeah, I had a good amount of people there.
Evans: Obviously, you know, rolling it was not the best feeling. But, you know, it didn't help. I got carted off. That was a little bit exaggerated. But yeah, I feel fine. I'm striving to be better someday. Obviously, there's working up to being 100 percent, but way better than yesterday and the day before that. So definitely we're in the right direction.
Evans: Yeah, I definitely think, you know, towards the end of last year, when we started, like, game planning and installing stuff, we used a lot of film from our teams that were using it and you could see success. I think that we used a lot of the Rams film. They were using a lot of 13. We were getting a lot of ideas from them and other teams and whatnot. But when there's 13 on the field, you know, it creates a lot of mismatches in terms of the passing, because I think all the guys in our room can definitely have success and strengths in both run blocking and being able to be versatile in the pass game and, you know, towards the end of the year and even this camp and we've been able to showcase that. And with 13 on the field, it creates a mismatch at every single level, I think. D.N.'s linebackers and stadiums, none of us can, we can block everybody and they can't guard us. That's how, I think that's how our room thinks. We're very confident in that, in our ability. And just, yeah, we're good.
Evans: Yeah, I would say he's intentional. Like, just the way he knows football. He's really smart and when we talk about routes, he's very intentional. Like, where he wants to put the ball where he wants, how many steps we need to do and all that stuff and just honestly he's very good at describing what he's seeing so he can relay it to us and just so we're all on the same page. So he's definitely, he's a really good football player in that aspect. So, yeah, I'd say that. I mean, we also don't want to get to a point where we're over-analyzing, over-coaching, but definitely, like, you know, if there's ever a question about route, it doesn't feel right, doesn't really, you know, it's not flowing or it's like, you know, we take a step and we're, the ball's off or whatever. It's like, oh, that felt weird. Like, we always talk about it and we don't either leave the field or meeting room and, like, you know, with questions like, oh, how do we do that, whatever. So, yeah, I'd say that.
