Love: Just keep playing. The mindset for everybody in the locker room is take that one play at a time. You know, we know there's still a lot of game left, a lot of plays to be had, and you know, the mindset is take it one play at a time and just keep fighting.
Love: Yeah, no, I think the start of the game offensively wasn't pretty. You know, I mean we have a lot of stuff to look at, clean up, and improve on because definitely was not pretty. You know, I think later we answered with that touchdown drive. But you know, I think offensively we've got to do a lot better.
Love: Man, it's tough. You know, you hate to see any time anybody gets injured, you know, so praying for obviously J. Reed. And then was that Tom going? Was that Baca going out? You know, it's tough. But like you say, it's a football is always the next man up mentality. You got to keep playing. So the mindset is just to keep going and people need to step up when guys go down. And I think guys did a good job today.
Love: Yeah, we'll see about the injuries, you know, I mean and see obviously we got a short week coming. But you know, you got to just keep going, keep leaning on the run game, keep trying to find what runs we're doing well. And I think a line wise it just comes down to targeting the right people, executing those blocks, and you know, obviously the runners hitting the right gaps, things like that. But you know, we'll be good in the run game.
Love: Yeah, I think that's definitely an area we've got to improve on. You know, that's two weeks we've had a lot of penalties that just put us back. You know, those are things that stop drives, put you behind the sticks obviously, and it's tough to overcome. So that's an area we've got to focus, clean up, figure out what's going on, especially on just pre-snap alignment penalties, things like that. So definitely an area we've got to improve.
Love: Man, I thought he was flying around and making a lot of plays, especially at the end. He made some huge plays, obviously some sacks, but he's flying all over the field. I think defense overall did a great job today, you know, they're the reason they kept us in the game. They had some huge stops, you know, when offense wasn't playing up to our standard of what we need to play at. They're the ones that kept us in the game and, you know, kept us with a fighting chance. So they did a great job today.
Love: Yeah, I got hit in the elbow and my hand just went numb.
Love: It's a huge win, you know, it's one of those games where you just got to keep fighting. Like you said, it wasn't pretty a lot of that game and you know, we've been in these situations before, we've lost these games, and I think the mindset there is just keep fighting. That's what we did today. But obviously a lot of stuff to clean up, wasn't pretty, but definitely a much-needed win.
Love: And it was great. I don't think you can start overtime with a better way than the defense did right there. Just, you know, keep moving the offense back. Obviously, it's going to set us up with good field position and, you know, we got to go finish. But that's a great way for them to start that overtime period.
Love: That was a, you know, part of the scheme right there. We know they like to do some corner pressures and they did it right there and we were able to, you know, just float one over the top right there at MG for a big gain. But just, you know, great game plan and obviously execution of something that we've seen them doing on film.
Love: That's huge, you know, we had to bounce back after week one and like I said, the game wasn't pretty, but to finish a game to get a win, that was huge. Like you said, obviously starting with two road games, so we needed this one right here. And now we got a short week to be able to get ready.
Love: No, I mean I think pressure is always going to be there. It's the NFL, you know, you play quarterback. Everybody is under a lot of pressure every week. And that's just what it is. That's what the job is. So, you know, I think I try and go out there and just handle business, play my job to the best of my ability and try and just take it one game at a time. Obviously after these games go back, find out what we need to improve on and keep working on, but it's a long season. So it's all about just daily improvements and trying to just execute to the best of my ability. But there's always going to be pressure.
Love: Yeah, I was one of those right after I threw it is when I looked around and realized, man, I could have took that one and ran with it. You know, I like the concept we had on, I kind of got locked into MG and, you know, really just sold the ball right there. But yeah, after I threw it, I looked around and I said, man, I could have ran that and probably picked up a couple yards there.
