Four Giants walked off the field hurt at SoFi Stadium on Monday night, and the rest of the league's news cycle is now fantasy triage. That's the shape of today's roundup: one disaster, and three roster decisions it forces on you.
Start with the disaster itself. CBS Sports called the Giants' Monday night a no good, very bad night, and the casualty list explains why. Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers, Andrew Thomas and Brian Burns all went down. Losing one of those names in a single game is a bad week. Losing all four is a team-level event, and I don't buy any framing that treats this as a one-week inconvenience. The Giants' ceiling for the season just dropped, and the schedule won't wait for them to heal. If you're holding New York assets in a keeper or dynasty format, you're now pricing in a worse offense than the one you bought.
ESPN's fantasy read is that Dart's absence filters down to the rest of the Giants' skill-position players. Correct, and the direction of that filter is what matters. When the quarterback is gone, every pass catcher behind him gets downgraded, and the running game sees more defenders in the box because defenses stop respecting the throw. So this isn't just a Dart problem. It's a whole-offense problem. If you were starting a Giant on a hunch, this is the week to stop, and I'm not treating any New York skill player as a locked-in starter until I see who's actually on the field.
The waiver side gives us one name: Jonah Coleman, whom ESPN is pushing as worth adding to fantasy rosters. When a network cuts a video arguing a player is worth adding, that's usually a tell that a role is opening. Take the shot. Coleman costs you nothing if you have a dead spot at the end of your bench, and the window shuts fast once he shows up in your league group chat. In deep formats I'd put a real FAAB bid down. In ten-team leagues, pass and let somebody else chase it.
Then there's Terrance Ferguson, where ESPN is asking whether managers can confidently start him. That headline answers itself. If confidence is the threshold, you already know the answer, because you wouldn't be asking the question. My read is that Ferguson is a matchup streamer at best right now, and I'm leaving him on the bench until the role is unambiguously his. Asking whether you can start a guy is the same as admitting you're guessing.
My verdict for the week: the Giants' season just lost most of its margin for error, Coleman is the best speculative add on the wire, and Ferguson belongs on your bench. I'll be right or wrong on all three, and I'd rather own the call than hedge it.
