Ravens' Offensive Coordinator Search Narrows, OL Coach Hire Imminent

New head coach Jesse Minter is moving swiftly to construct his inaugural coaching staff, with two key offensive positions taking center stage this week. According to league sources, the Ravens' search for an offensive coordinator is active, with former quarterback Davis Webb scheduled for an interview. Concurrently, the team is finalizing a deal to bring Dwayne Ledford aboard as the new offensive line coach.

The offensive coordinator role is arguably the most critical hire for Minter, as it will directly shape the development and deployment of quarterback Lamar Jackson. Webb, 30, is a rising coaching prospect who spent the 2025 season as an offensive assistant. While other candidates like Joe Brady have taken positions elsewhere, Webb represents a potential shift towards a younger, quarterback-centric offensive mind. The Ravens are keen for him to interview, indicating serious interest.

In a parallel move reported on January 27, the Ravens are nearing an agreement with Atlanta Falcons offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford to fill the same vacancy in Baltimore. Ledford, a former NFL offensive lineman, has built a strong reputation for developing talent in Atlanta and during his collegiate tenure. His hiring is pending finalization but is considered imminent.

These moves come amidst other staff changes. Defensive line coach Dennis Johnson, who served under John Harbaugh, is expected to follow his former boss to the New York Giants for the same role. The Ravens have also released several members of Harbaugh's staff, clearing the way for Minter's selections.

Filling the offensive coordinator and line coach positions are the first major steps in re-tooling an offense that showed flashes but lacked consistency in 2025. The new OC will be tasked with designing a system that maximizes Jackson's unique talents while improving a passing game that has struggled at times. Ledford's challenge will be to solidify an offensive line that may see changes, especially with center Tyler Linderbaum entering free agency.
