Transcript

Unknown: We don't have to ask you if you're playing this week, right?

Nabers: No.

Unknown: How did you feel coming off that game in the league, like on the Monday and the Tuesday off, playing that many snaps for the first time?

Nabers: A little sore, but manageable.

Unknown: And how much different does this week fit?

Nabers: Now you know the kind of uncertainty in that cloud over your head's gone.

Unknown: How much different does it feel going into this game as opposed to last year?

Nabers: When you're saying, continue to still work with trainers, tell them how I feel, be out there with the team, run as many rocks as I can, the game is on Monday.

Unknown: But does the certainty help?

Nabers: No.

Unknown: We saw you after we saw you make some of the making plays. How much more of a level is there to your game as you get more and more comfortable and back out there longer and longer?

Nabers: I mean, whatever the coaches give me, I mean, whatever ball is being thrown, I feel like I can make those plays. And I feel like I just, I never had to go up and make a crazy catch this week or, I mean, last week and do anything like spectacular. So, I mean, I'll see when those, the ball being thrown, I got to make those sketches.

Unknown: When you went back and looked at yourself, what did you see? Like, did you, how close do you think you were to, you know, prime, prime, my league neighbors?

Nabers: I'm rusty, I'm rusty, but.

Unknown: Why do you say that? Like, what do you see that tells you you're rusty?

Nabers: Slipping, falling, pretty much it.

Unknown: You were angry when you didn't cut around that one guy.

Nabers: Yeah, I just, it just, I just got to get back into more of the football mentality of getting north. Just taking a picture of the defense, knowing where everybody's at. I left some yards out there, I left some plays out there. Feel like I could have scored probably two of them if I just, just run straight, get more yards. So, I kind of think that was just the most frustrating thing about it was just like, I left a lot out there that I could have got.

Unknown: Would you slip, is that, how much does that, you're cutting on that leg when you're doing that or is it something else that you see?

Nabers: Something else, I was just slipping.

Unknown: League, everything that you had thought of in the off season when you were thinking the highs of the highs, walking off that field on Sunday night, that pic, they took that one picture of you, Jackson and Zay, did that kind of capture the emotions of when this thing is going right, that's what you want to feel.

Nabers: Yeah, it just shows just how much work those guys put in, how much work I put in just to get back out there with those guys and how happy they was to see me and how happy they was to get a, just a 1-0, 1-0, just to get a win at home on Sunday night. It just shows how much work they put in, how much work and just prepare that we were, we came out and just, it was just a good moment to just share with your brother, share the win with your brother.

Unknown: You guys are obviously feeling good after a win, but this is kind of a different challenge. This is the team everybody thought is the Super Bowl favorite, the team that everybody's calling like a super team after all the additions they made on defense this year. What kind of opportunity is this proving ground statement kind of moment is this for you guys?

Nabers: Just trying to get another win, stack another one up. You know, we got to win, but we're very humble about it. And we know we got to, you know, it's week after week is going to be another game, another challenge, another defense, another, another scheme. So we're just locking in on knowing what we got to do, doing what we have to do. That's really, I feel like we could, we'll take care of itself. If we do what we're supposed to, we'll win.

Unknown: You know what the mistake you feel about the offensive, it's one thing to see it in training camp and know what you're doing, but then to see it on the field in games, how optimistic does it make you feel about that moving forward?

Nabers: Well, I mean, the office is great. I mean, we marry up the run game with the play action, with the, you know, drop back. Jackson does a great job of just, you know, knowing where to go with the ball, pre-snap, knowing where to get to, knowing which way to run the ball. So, you know, the office is great. I mean, I think, you know, we handle it pretty well.

Unknown: Receive, there's going to be a lot of great receivers on the field in this game. Obviously you, but the two on the other side, anything from watching Devontae Adams for years that you respect or even Pukah Nkouwe, his game's so different than yours. Anything you take from those two guys?

Nabers: No, those guys are, you know, pretty good receiver group. You know, I've been watching Devontae for a long time. You know, yeah, it has a terrific game. Pukah also does, you know, a lot of great things, contested catches, but, you know, we're just locking on just what we have to do as a receiver group and what we have to do on offense.

Unknown: What have you liked about working with Chad this year? You knew him a little bit last year. He was in a different role. Now he's kind of leading your room. What have you learned about him? What do you like about him?

Nabers: It's more technique, you know, locking on on receivers or, you know, being technicians and about just using your hands, using your feet, making sure, you know, everything is, you know, in the right cylinder for you to run routes. So, you know, just with him talking, I understand what he's saying and I like everything that he's saying about just, you know, saying everything in the cylinder or just, you know, getting your feet right, you know, making sure which way you want the DB to go. So, just listening, honing in on what he has to say and just, you know, taking it to the game.

Unknown: How would you describe his personality?

Nabers: Uh, he's live, he's live. If you know, you know, if you don't, you don't. He live though. That's a good thing. That's a good thing.
