The former Eagles linebacker and FS1 host cited 'empirical data and evidence' in a blunt assessment of the Cowboys' Super Bowl chances. His conclusion: "Dak [Prescott] Is Not Enough."
The numbers are on Acho's side. Prescott is entering his 11th season in Dallas. He has two playoff wins, both in the wild-card round, and the Cowboys missed the playoffs last season. The defense has been the scapegoat in recent postseasons, and LeSean McCoy recently made the same point in less diplomatic terms: during Prescott's tenure, the excuses have outnumbered the wins.
It's tempting to wave off Acho as a bitter former Eagle. Don't. The rivalry angle doesn't make the record fake. Two wild-card victories in 11 years is a real, checkable line of text, and it's the core of Acho's argument. He's not saying Prescott is mediocre in October. He's saying the postseason ledger matters more than the regular-season numbers.
The counter is that no quarterback wins alone. The Cowboys have cycled through coordinators, the offensive line aged, and the defense has folded in big moments. New defensive coordinator Christian Parker is leading a rebuild on that side of the ball, and Prescott is getting MVP-dark-horse buzz as Dallas tries to bounce back. That's the 'everything is fixed' narrative, and it may well be true in September.
But Acho's phrase is precise. 'Not enough' is not a quarterback rating. It's a franchise statement. Dallas has failed to build a team that elevates Prescott when the game slows down in January. They've failed at the roster level, the scheme level, and the management level. The quarterback's playoff record is the invoice for all of it.
Acho is right that Dak alone cannot carry the Cowboys to a Super Bowl. The flaw in his take is aiming that at the quarterback instead of the building around him. Prescott doesn't need to be more. The Cowboys need to be better. The empirical evidence says they haven't been.
The verdict stands. Acho's conclusion is correct, but the blame is misplaced.
