Dante Moore is the item that should sit with you past Monday. Oregon's quarterback was knocked out by a hit to the head while sliding, put on a stretcher, carted to an ambulance and taken to a hospital during the Ducks' win over USC. Oregon coach Dan Lanning called it an illegal, "disgusting play." He's right, and the rule is on his side: a quarterback who slides has given himself up, which makes intent beside the point when a defender still arrives high. Oregon won that game. That detail gets buried under the stretcher. The only open question is the discipline handed down, and it should be heavy. Let a passer leave the field that way with no consequence and every young quarterback in the country learns that giving yourself up buys you nothing.
Now the fantasy trap. Rashod Bateman put up 21.8 points against New Orleans. After a 17-plus-point game he has never reached 9, and he averages 4.7 in his career in that spot. That isn't variance, it's a ceiling collapsing exactly when managers are most tempted to trust it. Sit him in Week 3.
