Jacoby Brissett addressed the media during a press conference for the Arizona Cardinals on September 9, 2026. The event focused on his experiences during training camp and preparations for the upcoming NFL season.

Brissett: I think it, because it revolves around the quarterback, the quarterback skill set, being able to, obviously, like you said, sit in the pocket, deliver the ball while getting hit at times and seeing over the line and stuff like that. I think that suits me well. At least I'm trying to make sure it does. But yeah, it's been good. It's been a lot of fun, a lot of work in training camp. So excited for the season to get here.
Brissett: I want to say it's like free, you know what I mean? Like it's no, he's not stringent on anything. You know, obviously coming here with the success he had when he was with the Rams and stuff like that, it's very easy to say like, this is my way, this is how we do it. Whereas it's been the opposite. You know, it's been very, very like fluid with us as far as like, hey, do we like this, do we not like this? Like, what suits us well? What do we need to get better at and things like that? So it's been a pleasure to work with him.
Brissett: You know, I think that the cool thing is a lot of things he kind of sees what we see as far as, you know, sometimes you get the times where we made a play. So this is how the play is supposed to work. And, you know, and a guy just flashes, like, color it on a play. You're like, man, I didn't see that. Like, I didn't I wasn't comfortable with it. He sees that when we watch film and he definitely has been in the fire. We like to say, like, and he can relate to what we what we feel back there.
Brissett: No, I got to play that on a show on Monday. One of my friends actually showed me about him. But he doesn't know about it yet. So, OK, keep it a secret.
Brissett: They're both different from each other. But I think it's been good, you know, obviously, it's been a lot of football played in that room, whether it's college or in prose. They're very different, two different guys. Gardner is very outdoorsy and Carson is quiet. But it's been it's been a lot of fun.
Brissett: I think the key is to do it together. You know, I think, you know, the one thing that, you know, Mike's been really, you know, preaching to us is, you know, hey, whatever we do, let's just do it together and let's do it fast, you know. And and I think if we do that, I think we'll be fine.
Brissett: To not feel like I've seen it all, you know, and to like to say, like to be green and continue to learn. So a new system, a lot of a lot of different things that I haven't honestly haven't seen, you know, as far as like some of the stuff that we're putting in and trying to master. And so just just having that that hunger for the for the new knowledge.
Brissett: Not yet. Yeah, just for a little bit. I need to let my skin breathe a little bit, but it'll be back for sure.
