Wingard: Yeah, I mean it's the mix, like you said, between being a kid and kind of just not thinking and just doing what you've done since you were a kid combined with years and years of banked reps from playing in the NFL and I actually think about it sometimes, like how many practice reps I've had in the last eight years. It's just crazy and you get, it's crazy, you get really so good at what you do and you're practicing against the best in the world. So, combine the childlike flow mixed with grown man discipline and preparation, that's what it equals.
Wingard: You know, it's hard because you don't know how they're going to attack the D-line and you never know. You might not have a rush sometimes and for those guys you might not have, the DBs might not give you long enough to rush. So, it's kind of just becomes what it is and thankfully on Sunday, both sides, you know, for those guys up front and us in the back end, we were just dialed and those guys up front, Roy, LJ, all those boys were flying around and hunting and, you know, he was getting agitated back there in the pocket and, you know, you get to the third and fourth quarter as a DB, that's kind of where, you know, you take the lead and I was on the sideline just, you know, licking my chops. I'm like, all right, we got a lead, now they're going to start throwing the ball, now I'm going to go get one. So, it was a beautiful mix of Russian coverage.
Wingard: I did. Really nice pick. Yep, it was, it worked out perfectly. Like, I don't even remember the play. Like, I just remember, like, waking up with the ball just like, let's go.
Wingard: Yeah, I mean, he's great. And again, we're great as well. And we have great coverage guys back there and, you know, we're going to do everything we can, but we're not going to be, we're not going to get outside of ourselves. We're going to continue to play our brand of football, our scheme, and let what we do and what we've practiced hopefully take him away.
Wingard: Yeah, well, I mean, he's an NFL quarterback and he's been in this league long enough to warrant the ability to go out there and play good football. And it's not just like their offense completely changes. He can run the show. He went out there in week one after probably not expecting to play and goes out there and balls out. So their offense isn't going to change. It's going to be the same thing and it's no different for us.
Wingard: Yeah, I mean, he's the same guy. They were obviously doing some different stuff when he was at Missouri. They just had him flying around, throwing it every which way. And it's not going to exactly be that. But, you know, he's got a strong arm. He's got good vision, knows where he's going with the ball through his progression. So there was a reason he was a high draft pick and continues to be here.
Wingard: Yeah, you know, it's fairly girly, but the mix of manly of I don't shampoo it too much. So probably every two, three days I shampoo it and conditioner as well. But I like to let it go. Obviously, on Sunday, I had it bunned up because it was so hot in there. I was like, why is it so hot when we're playing in an indoor facility? This is crazy. So I had to bun it up because if I would have felt the hair, if you see it bunned up, you know, in my head, I'm going I do not want this pound of hair touching my neck and sweat. So I'm going to bun it up. But yeah, the routine has been I actually really should get a haircut because it's getting pretty egregiously long. But I plan to have it down and flowing this week. And hopefully that can equal some big hits, you know, flying around with my hair on fire.
Wingard: You know, I was a drummer growing up. And, you know, I say I was a drummer. I tried to drum. It's not like I had lessons or anything, but I tried guitar terrible. So I just banged some drums. My parents, God bless them, allowed me to have a drum set in the house when I was in like eighth grade. So they had to endure whatever was going on up in my corner room, hearing a lot of banging and stuff. But yeah, it's been Dewey since I can I can remember. And School of Rock is me and my dad's favorite movie by far. If we're out at any moment, we can just go on a run of quoting the movie for like five straight minutes. So Dewey Finn.
