Knight: I know you talked before about having interaction and some time with Mike earlier. I know earlier today, he was like, that's a long time ago. What was it like when you first showed up? Did it feel like there's just somebody that you were with for a brief amount of time? Or do you feel like you have a connection? I feel like I have a connection with him because in New York, obviously, as an undrafted free agent, I had the opportunity to play a little bit halfway through the season, and I excelled good in his system. At the time he got the job, I was still technically a free agent this past offseason, so couldn't really reach out to him until I had confirmation whether or not I was coming back. Once I did, I knew I was in a good setting with him, Coach Hack, and then Gobi, a special teams coach. I was with all those guys with the Jets, so I knew I was in good hands with them.

Knight: I would say, obviously, it's different roles for everybody now. It's definitely more, you could tell their demeanor as far as them trying to flip this organization. I think it's going in the right direction. Everybody's behind the end, so that's been a positive.

Knight: I would say this year, it felt like it was definitely as far as from the running back perspective. I feel like last year, it was a little bit more versatile guys, guys that could do special teams in that, but I just feel like from a running back standpoint this year, it was a crazy amount of talent, like you saw Corey Conner, he got traded. They traded for him, Evan Hole, he flashed. Even Trey, him and training Kim, he flashed when he was at practice, so everybody has a good idea and can be successful in this scheme. It's just a matter of bringing all that together. I do think we have a great room, and we did, during training camp.

Knight: I wanna say no, because I feel like, I guess, somewhat had an advantage, because I am familiar with their system, offensive system, so I feel like a lot of the run game and stuff was clicking a lot for me earlier on, but like I said, we did have a lot of good backs in the room. I don't feel like it put me at too much of an advantage, but I do feel like just having some familiarity with the system kinda did help me catch on a lot quicker than maybe some of the other guys.

Knight: I wanna say no, and that's the honest answer, because like, one thing I've learned is lead, like I've been cut three times, like nothing is ever certain, unless you're a first, second round pick, like nothing is ever certain, even sometimes then, like you see guys get released. So, I try not to, you know, obviously I didn't play too much during the preseason, so I had a general idea, but like I didn't wanna get comfortable and start saying, yeah, I'm on a team, because like I said, anything could happen that could have claimed somebody or something like that, like you never know.

Knight: I mean, honestly, it just comes with experience, like I've been through every situation, so like you kinda learned to deal with it versus guys who've never been through that. Like I say, like some guys who's going through it for the first time now, with first cuts that just happened, like they're probably experiencing like, they don't know how to feel right now, but I've been through that, so like I know how to deal with it, I know how to come back stronger, I know how to just keep doing my thing throughout that.

Knight: It's, it definitely called me out, I'm like, this guy looks good, cause like, I just feel like even with his college tape, like it doesn't do it justice, just seeing like how he move in between the tackles, even the individual drills, I'm like, dang, like, it definitely stands out, and you know, I think the media and kinda his pre-draft evaluation was right, like he's that type of player, he could be a guy that can change the franchise for sure.

Knight: I mean, honestly, like, people saw it in pre-season, like the fact that you had guys, you know, essentially at the bottom of the roster out there playing and still creating explosives consistently every week of the pre-season, that shows, and then the ones, twos, like, it's that much more, like, the offense honestly can be top in the league, like, it's just a matter of us to keep buying in throughout the whole season and just keep getting better and better, getting everything down, and it's just so many variations to the offense, it'll be hard for somebody to catch on to our scheme and how we do it.

Knight: No, I mean, like I said before, like, I kind of had an idea, but, like, kind of was in the greatest area, like, my mom, my brother, my best friend, they called me second grad, so I was like, I kind of had just forgot about it, I was just kind of like, all right, so it's just kind of getting ready for week one, whatever that role may be for me, so just one day at a time, honestly.

Knight: I would say no, I think you get, well, maybe like for like rookies or something, but as you get older, you kind of just adjust to that, just kind of learn how to balance things out, like, you can evaluate yourself and kind of put yourself in those positions as you're watching film on another team, like see how this guy created explosive, put yourself there and just envision it, if that makes sense, yeah.

Knight: Yeah, I mean, I'm sure you guys know like what type of man he is, like he's around the team, he's also busting his butt to get back on the field, obviously, but just being in the running back room, still engaged on the field when he can be, just making sure the guys are going through it, even going through the system himself. So like just having an older vet guy like that still bought in and still trying to teach everybody, even like me, like this is my fifth year, he's still teaching me stuff, still making sure Jeremiah good, trying to help him out, give him little keys and hacks to kind of help him. So, you know, just having a leader like that in the running back room, not even just the running back room for the team, that's essential, I feel like that's an essential part of this team.
