Foote: that's that's maze by the way he looked good he looked good in his maze jersey or cut off whatever it was that's why it didn't look that good for being honest in week one right that's not the results you wanted what you looked at the film what's what's the fundamental reason why you guys made Joe Burrow the least pressure quarterback in week one first then a lot of quick game he's getting the ball out but it can be games like that so you got to make the most out your opportunities we had opportunities to rush them at times couple third downs and we didn't execute but young guys they got to learn in this league there can be games like that running a lot of runs a lot of quick game where nothing you can do by hitting a quarterback but when you get opportunity on money down you got it you got to make them pay.

Foote: well said he thought that Rubin being took a step back mentally you know what he means by that not mentally I think far as rushing rushing a couple a couple of those rushes is playing and seeing what the offensive tackle was giving them and you got to take what they give you for instance like you know the guy was playing him for upfield I mean you got turned in a couple of those happen so I think mentally he looked like a young guy rushing the past.

Foote: I saw that you were talking to him at his locker after the game you know for a little while but just what what kind of words were you sharing with him just picking him up you know just you know he's down you know a lot of expectation for him and he was down and out the whole room was upfront we want to hit the quarterback and we didn't do it but it's gonna be games like that you only got a couple opportunities you got to make the most of it.

Foote: you actually bring up something that a lot of people don't hear about is just how much this game means to a lot of these players and to you and when they don't meet their expectations what what is that like and just from from kind of being down here and having to rebuild yourself in just a few short days to play another game how does a grown man sport you got a move on definitely got to move on I like that those guys have the pride and they want to dominate and perform especially after a loss so a lot of guys in that room took it personal big challenge for us but uh just move on to the next.

Foote: like five or six times something but you guys had a for a long time because I've been a two linebacker team on all down but he had kind of a 5 1 5 look if you will I'm just gonna see what that does in it and how you like that work just a different package moving guys on and off the field moving guys around just a different package.

Foote: he's only didn't have the best debut obviously not the game that he wanted but you're expecting a big bounce-back game from him oh yeah he's a pro we've been in this league a long time and sometimes you get the bear sometimes the bear get you but you got to respond and look forward to seeing them this week.

Foote: from your playing career where you've had a game that didn't meet your expectations maybe it was a season opener and you thought you were maybe here but it just didn't manifest the way you had hoped and just what is that like I get back to the drawing board social media wasn't as big back when I was playing and people actually sends me stuff especially about Ruben and stuff like that but you got to block out the noise and and this league is the best of the best so you got to always stay humble and just keep punching the clock.

Foote: so Josiah Trotter just kind of like ascend during training camp and and that ascension continued on on saying just talk about the debut that he had but since he's been here he'd been on he already ascended but uh I'm not surprised a little jealous you know I played autumn 13 years I ain't I haven't scored during my career and he get it first game but uh he's a serious player mentally and physically he's about his business but I'm not surprised we've been seeing it since training camp him making plays.

Foote: they got some young weapons they're gonna challenge us outside kind of like our game the game got away from him in the first half you see Watson running making plays we definitely got to contain him and their physical team they got young weapons and our guys the film is the film they got some talent over there so it's gonna be a big challenge for us.

Foote: your thoughts on Shannon the tight end Cleveland oh he's gonna he's a weapon he's a weapon we got to watch him got to keep an eye on him and just got a you know rally bites tackle we got to do a good job on.
